Predator Motorsport Annual Lapping Day at Putnam Park, IN
About the Event -
It is an open track/lapping day event. There is no racing... just playing in your car on a real racetrack. Drivers are divided into two groups as fast cars and slower cars. We take turns running in groups of 15 - 20 cars at a time in 20 - 30" increments. It is a great opportunity to see how well your auto crossing skills transfer to high-speed driving, learn car control and have a ball.
Egos are left at home... No prizes or awards... Passing is "point-by" only and restricted to four safe spots on the track. For fun, ride with other, more experienced drivers and then try incorporating their styles with your own techniques.
The event will be all day and you get all the track time you can tolerate and about double to three times what is provided at the typical driver's school (Porsche/Audi/BMW club etc.) for roughly the same cost. Typically, the tower is open so you can get out of the weather. The concession stand is generally open and sells hotdogs, burgers etc. There is air at the track and gas about 6 miles away. About half of the participants run on street tires and the other half run on race rubber. Instructors available for Novice drivers*
Car Rentals available*
